We're a community of photographers that love giving back.
This October, we're fighting human slavery.
For this year's campaign we are partnering with A21—a nonprofit organization fueled by a radical hope that human beings everywhere can be rescued from bondage and completely restored. They're legitimately 21st century abolitionists who will work with us to free slaves and disrupt the demand. Proceeds raised in October's campaign will go directly to this organization.
How does this work?
Each October we team up with photographers and their clients to give back. Most families and businesses have their photos taken annually already, which made us wonder... maybe there's a way to make these photos about more than just ourselves? Families, individuals, and businesses simply partner with one of our photographers and have the proceeds from their session donated to our cause.
How did this all get started?
In 2014, we launched Photos That Give (formerly One Month to Give) as a way to harness photography to help those in need. We felt compelled to a deeper purpose in our work and believed that others felt the same way. Our founder, Perry Smith, actually started connecting these dots back in 2012 when his aunt was battling cancer—a fight he knew too well after being diagnosed at the age of 15. Driven to make a difference, Perry utilized the skills he had and donated photo sessions—personally raising over $10,000. Now each year we’re driven with that same determination to help even more people.
One Month Inc. (DBA, Photos That Give) is a registered 501c3 in the United States. We're on a mission to spark philanthropy through photography.
